C.O.P.S. is a national program created by the Department of Justice, and it was implemented in Jackson in the fall of 2003. C.O.P.S. stands for Community Oriented Policing. C.O.P.S. 2 meetings are held regularly on every second Thursday of each month at Jackson Police Department Precinct 2, located in Westland Plaza at 2598 Robinson Road.
