C.O.P.S. is a national program created by the Department of Justice, and it was implemented in Jackson in the fall of 2003. C.O.P.S. stands for Community Oriented Policing. C.O.P.S. 1 meetings are held regularly on every first Thursday of each month at Jackson Police Department Precinct 1, located at 810 Cooper Road.
