Jackson Neighborhood Engagement Support Grant

The Jackson Neighborhood Engagement Support Grant funds Jackson neighborhoods to cover a neighborhood meeting or event expense. The $100 one-time use grant will be awarded to 10 Jackson neighborhoods that are engaging their residents within the city limits of Jackson. The Community Foundation for Mississippi (CFM) has partnered with the Jackson Association of Neighborhoods (JAN) to provide this resource to communities.

Eligibility

Funds can be used for costs related to facilitating neighborhood meetings, such as:

  • Printing and mailing of promotional materials

  • Food specifically for community meetings

  • Security provided for neighborhood meetings

  • Rental space for neighborhood meetings

Grants will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis for events between August 15 - October 15, 2024. Applications for events will be received on a rolling basis. The JAN Grants Committee, chaired by JAN Ward 6 Representative Robert Sulton, will evaluate applications at the end of every month (August 2024 - October 2024). Once a decision has been made, the committee will notify neighborhoods whether their application has been accepted or declined. Please note that funds will be awarded as reimbursements for expenses based on receipts.
