South Jackson Parade and Festival Connects Neighborhoods for Positive Change

The 5th Annual South Jackson Parade and Festival was held on Saturday, April 13, 2024. Many Jackson businesses, organizations, neighborhoods, and schools participated in the fun-filled event. The parade route traveled up McDowell Road Extension and ended at Cardozo Middle School, where vendors offered food, services, information, and more.

The Association of South Jackson Neighborhoods (ASJN) hosts the annual event to promote positivity and unity among South Jackson residents. “South Jackson needs to see the positive and not always the negative that is happening in our community,” said Johnny Byrd, vice president of ASJN. “This event brings all of us together and offers solutions to everything that ails our community.”

The South Jackson Parade is held each year on the second Saturday of April. Visit ASJN’s website to learn more about the organization and other related events.
