Join the Hal’s St. Paddy’s Day Parade & Festival Clean Up Krewe
The 2025 Hal’s St. Paddy’s Day Parade & Festival is Saturday, March 22, 2025. The annual event, described as “green Mardi Gras”, is one of Jackson’s largest outdoor festivities, drawing thousands to Downtown Jackson. In essence, Jackson celebrates itself for a day and everything positive happening in the local community. With a day of fun-filled events planned, event organizers are looking for volunteers to help restore Downtown Jackson to its normal state once the parade ends.
Jackson resident and realtor Locke Ward operates Clean Up Jackson, a community-led effort to clean up Jackson. “We started about a year and two months ago,” Ward said. “I got tired of looking at all the trash, and so we started in one spot, and it snowballed.” Because of his success, Ward has agreed to organize the clean-up efforts after this year’s parade and festival. Delta Waste Solutions will provide one hundred lined cardboard boxes for trash collection during the festivities. “We’re asking the public to pitch in, Locke’s organization to help, and volunteers,” said Hal White, founder of the annual event. “We need everybody’s help and support to clean up after Jackson’s greatest event, Hal’s St. Paddy’s Day Parade.”
